Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.  Help them reach their goal of 1,000,000 pillowcases!  For more information, click HERE. Pieceful Choices Quilt Shop is proud to be an official drop-off location for this great cause.  We've also put together some fun pillowcase kits for you to make and donate.  The kits are specially priced at $9.99 to help support the challenge.  Each kit contains fabric and an easy pattern to make one pillowcase (prints/colors will vary). If you prefer, you can use your own stash and patterns from the APQ website. For each special PCQS Million Pillowcase Challenge kit that you purchase, complete and return in the original plastic bag you will receive a coupon for $5 off your next Pieceful Choices Quilt Shop purchase! Whether you use your own stash or one of our kits, the person who drops off the MOST completed pillowcases to the shop by 12/31/10 will win a $200 Pieceful Choices Quilt Shop gift certificate! Check out the "PCQS Pillowcase Challenge Toteboard" in the shop to see who's in the lead - it could be you! We will continuously be updating our website with the current totals of pillowcases donated at PCQS and will displaying the donations on the “Quilt Shop Clothesline”. Our donation total will also be added to the national total on the All People Quilt website.  Your pillowcase will be donated locally to a worthwhile charity, e.g., the Samaritan Inn, Sunrise House and Conkerr Cancer. Those of you who joined us last year will remember what a blast we had on our bus trip to the PA Nat'l. Quilt Extravanza.  We're planning another trip this year and you won't want to miss it!  Cost per person is $55, which includes bus fare, entrance to the show, door prizes and refreshments.

WHY:   Because it's just so much darn fun, that's why!   A letter with more specifics will be mailed or given to each participant prior to the trip.  So drop us a line HERE by 9/1/10 if you'd like to join us!  Let us know ASAP as seats are limited.
